Individual Long Term Therapy

“The great thing about falling apart, is that you get to decide how to put yourself back together.” Stacie Hammond

Individual sessions allow you to take the time to reflect on issues that are concerning you. You can consult with me regarding a specific issue that you want to address or embark on a journey of self- discovery, starting from where you are now to where you want to be.

In a safe, genuine, caring, and confidential space, we will explore together the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that arise both outside the therapy room and within it. I will listen deeply to your struggle, try to clarify aspects you may not be aware of, and offer my own perspective. Exploring your distress in the present will allow you to discover ways in which your past experience colors your life today, and to find ways to arrive at the kind of life and relationships you want going forward.

Common issues that you can address in individual sessions include:

  • Loneliness and isolation
  • Depression and anxiety
  • General dissatisfaction and feelings of emptiness
  • Grief and loss
  • Trauma
  • Addiction to alcohol and substances
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Anger and conflict management
  • Relationship distress and engaging in trusting relationships
  • Parenting dilemmas
  • Acculturation/immigration issues
  • Healthy expression of emotions
  • Promoting creativity and self- growth
